SeaWorld is horrifying enough already—but now, Sony Pictures Entertainment is partnering with SeaWorld to bring I Know What You Did Last Summer and Hotel Transylvania to its Halloween events, turning animals’ real-life horror into Halloween entertainment! 😱

Dolphins, whales, and other marine mammals imprisoned at SeaWorld are crammed into barren concrete tanks and forced to perform. SeaWorld even tears female dolphins from the water and sometimes drugs them before forcibly impregnating them to pump out new prisoners.

100+ companies have chosen to cut ties with SeaWorld after hearing from animal advocates. Please urge Sony to reconsider future partnerships with this abusement park! 🐬

I was disappointed to learn that Sony is partnering with SeaWorld to feature I Know What You Did Last Summer and Hotel Transylvania at its Halloween events. While these attractions are intended to provide fictional scares, the suffering endured by the dolphins, whales, and other marine mammals imprisoned at SeaWorld is all too real. By allowing its franchises to be featured at SeaWorld, Sony is lending its influential brands to a company that abuses animals.

At least 580 dolphins and whales have died at SeaWorld parks, many prematurely. The remaining animals are crammed into barren concrete tanks, where they can’t escape attacks from other frustrated animals. Unwilling female dolphins are taken from the water and sometimes drugged so they can’t fight back while staff shove tubes filled with semen into their uteruses. Some endure this process repeatedly, and their babies may die or be shipped to other parks.

Nearly every company that supported SeaWorld has cut ties with it. By associating its films and characters with SeaWorld, Sony is supporting the abuse of marine mammals. Please reconsider any future partnerships with SeaWorld.
