Tell These Companies to STOP Supporting SeaQuest’s Cruelty

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Some things really make us stop and ask, “Why tf?” Like why would anyone hype discounted tickets to see animals suffer? Well, that’s a question for America First Credit Union and Utah Sweet Savings. Both companies are offering deals on tickets to SeaQuest, a sleazy roadside aquarium chain owned by a member of the Covino family.

SeaQuest has a long history of animal welfare issues, legal violations, and injuries to employees and the public from allowing people to have direct contact with animals. 😡

A toddler was rushed to the emergency room after sustaining gaping wounds from an iguana bite at SeaQuest Fort Worth in Texas.

Here’s something you prob already knew: Malls aren’t the best places for animals to live. Yet SeaQuest has been keeping animals in cramped, dirty enclosures in malls, where they’re frequently poked by people and almost never see sunlight.

These grim conditions have led to horrifying injuries and deaths. At SeaQuest Littleton in Colorado, a wallaby named Ben drowned in an aquarium tank after struggling to escape. 😨 People who visit SeaQuest aquariums are left shook—and not in a good way. In scathing reviews, they often share disturbing experiences and say they’re ashamed for going to these places.

At SeaQuest Las Vegas, a wolf eel named Saturn was left to suffer after part of their tail was partially eaten, leaving their tailbone painfully exposed. To make things worse, the facility only contacted a veterinarian after local law enforcement stepped in. 🙄

At SeaQuest Roseville in Minnesota, a bat ray was seen struggling to breathe. In nature, bat rays can jump out of the water and skim along the surface and they often rest in the sand. But at SeaQuest, they’re forced to live in crowded touch tanks and can wind up with wounds or other health problems.

After learning the truth about SeaQuest, some businesses like Sam’s Club have chosen not to support these seedy mall aquariums. 👏 But other businesses keep promoting them, which rewards the aquarium chain for causing animal suffering and public safety risks.

These businesses need to think about who they’re hurting by supporting SeaQuest.

… and then urge other promoters to reconsider their relationship with SeaQuest.
