Tell This Church to Stop Using Live Animals as Sermon Props

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Using animals as props is no way to honor the Christian message of compassion and mercy for all members of creation. Yet that's exactly what Cornerstone Nashville did in a recent sermon featuring a caged lion, a ram, and numerous other animals.

The church even uploaded footage of a lion being taunted to Facebook:

The animals came from Hollywild Animal Park, a notorious exhibitor with a history of failing animals and repeat citations for violating federal animal-welfare laws, such as by failing to provide animals with adequate veterinary care. A fire at the facility also killed more than two dozen animals, and the following year, animals escaped and a passerby had to corral them back inside.

Might doesn't make right, and other animals, like humans, deserve to share the Earth and live free from harm. Please tell Cornerstone Nashville to extend compassion and mercy to all members of creation by committing to leaving animals out of future events.
