Soccer games can sometimes be stressful for players, coaches, and fans, but there’s legit no reason why they should be stressful for animals—yet a bald eagle named Clark was forced to be a spectacle at a chaotic U.S. Women’s National Team match. 😡 Urge the U.S. Soccer Federation to make sure no other wild animals are forced to endure this terror!
Clark was hauled to the match in Washington, D.C., just to be exploited in front of thousands of screaming fans. He was obvi distressed, as he struggled to break free from a handler while fireworks exploded around him. Exploiting a bald eagle—who symbolizes freedom—is ironic af, but Clark and everyone in the stadium were in danger. Wild animals have broken loose from handlers several times, just as Clark tried to do, and birds have crashed while flying in stadiums. 😨
No animal deserves to be traumatized for our entertainment—please use the form below to urge the U.S. Soccer Federation to ban the use of wild animals at events its teams attend. 🚨
