L.A. Comic Con Hosted a Dairy Industry Event—Help Make Sure This Doesn’t Happen Again

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

L.A. Comic Con should offer a fun-filled environment that celebrates artistic freedom—but if it brings back dairy industry events, it’ll be propping up a cruel, sexist trade that deprives cows of their most basic freedoms. 😨 Help get the event’s CEO to change course!

L.A. Comic Con recently hosted The Milk Cup Fortnite tournament, which is funded by MilkPEP—the dairy industry’s marketing arm. It hypes an industry that restrains female cows and sexually abuses them to keep the milk flowing. 😱 Calves are torn away from their moms so that the milk meant for them can be sold to humans. This agonizing process happens again and again until the moms are shot in the head and their throats are slit when their bodies are too worn out.

It gets even more messed up. MilkPEP’s mission is to promote a sexist industry, yet it markets The Milk Cup Fortnite tournament as a way to empower women in gaming. 🤦️ Orgs like MilkPEP hustle to hide the growing evidence that dairy products increase the risk of getting acne and suffering from digestive issues. Plus, animal agriculture is responsible for almost one-fifth of humans’ greenhouse gas emissions and is the leading cause of water pollution, species extinction, and habitat loss.

Dairy destroys everything in its path, so why tf would a convention focused on fun give a platform to an industry that uses women to exploit animals? For the sake of cows, the planet, and human health, please urge the CEO of L.A. Comic Con, Chris DeMoulin, not to promote the dairy industry in the future. 🐮 👩 🌎
