If you think bunny merch is cute, be aware: DON’T buy plush bunny keychains from BunnyLulu. You might want to show your love for rabbits, but you’ll get them killed instead.

BunnyLulu’s keychains are made from real rabbit fur. 😰 The company markets them as “lovingly handmade” and “perfect for any bunny lover”, but no one who loves bunnies would buy their fur if they knew where it came from.

Most rabbits in the fur trade spend their entire lives trapped in cramped, filthy wire cages before workers kill them—often by neck-breaking, gassing, electrocution, or even skinning them alive. 🤬 On what planet is this fur “perfect for any bunny lover”?

BunnyLulu is misleading us by marketing its keychains with this language. Plus, BunnyLulu’s products are available for purchase in California, which appears to violate the state’s ban on the sale of non-used fur products. Tell the company to cut out the B.S. and switch to selling only faux fur stat! 🐰❤️

I was deeply disappointed to learn that BunnyLulu is still selling rabbit fur despite learning from PETA that animals in the fur industry endure joyless, painful lives before they’re gassed, electrocuted, or killed in other violent ways. Whenever animals are forced to be part of a supply chain, they’re objectified, and their welfare is compromised in pursuit of profit.

Advertising your products as “handmade with love” and “perfect for any bunny lover” is misleading, as there is nothing loving about raising and killing animals for their fur. No one who truly loves rabbits would want to support this cruelty. The only way to operate with love is to go fur-free.

Faux fur offers the same aesthetic without animal cruelty, and hundreds of designers and brands have already made the ethical switch.

Please, stop using fur. Until you do, I will be shopping elsewhere and encouraging others to do the same.
