Tell CU Boulder That Bison Don’t Belong at Football Games

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Wtf do panicked bison have to do with college football? 😑 Urge CU Boulder to stop forcing bison to run across the field at games!

Bison feel fear, pain, and joy just like us, and would never choose to be in a chaotic stadium on their own. The sixth bison used as CU’s live mascot, Ralphie VI, apparently made this pretty obvious, and the school let her “retire” after about three years—but Ralphies before her were exploited for up to 11 years. 😠 Like Ralphie VI, all of these bison would rather have been free.

In their natural habitat, bison live their best lives roaming open spaces and hanging with their herds. They’ll never thrive in a stadium where they’re forced to sprint for screaming fans. There’s zero reason to put animals through this stress, and willing human mascots can do a much better job of pumping up the team and the fans.

Please tell CU Boulder’s Chancellor to end the live mascot program and leave all bison in peace! ☮️
