Bears Don’t Belong in Concrete Pits—Help Save Them From Misery

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

Hot take: Touristy stuff is fun. Checking out landmarks, parks, and museums is what it’s all about—but watching bears suffer in a concrete pit? 😨 That should NEVER be in the travel plans.

At Three Bears General Store, a gross roadside attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, bears have nothing to do but pace back and forth in a concrete pit and beg tourists for food. After several bears died in the pit, prob from the poor living conditions, the roadside hellhole bought two young bears named River and Daisy to keep the suffering going. 😡

After learning about this cruelty, actor Joaquin Phoenix sent a letter to the store’s owners. He said that River and Daisy deserve to experience the joy of their natural way of life in an accredited sanctuary, where they could roam freely in huge spaces, dig dens, forage, play, hibernate, and feel the soft earth beneath their feet. 👏

Please join us and Joaquin Phoenix in urging Three Bears General Store to close the pit and send the bears to an accredited sanctuary before it’s too late!
