Bulls Suffer and Die for Pepsi’s Sugar—Urge the Company to Stop the Suffering

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

There’s nothing sweet about sugar tainted with cruelty. In India, PepsiCo uses sugar through a franchise partner from regions where bulls are forced to haul heavy carts of sugarcane—help end this!

Bulls are social, smart animals who form strong bonds with each other. But in the sugarcane industry, these gentle animals are treated like machines and forced to work from dawn until after dark. They’re beaten with sticks and whips, pierced with barbed wire spikes, and restrained with thick nose ropes that cause painful tears and infections. 😡 Some don’t make it out alive.

Bulls aren’t the only ones who suffer in this industry. According to the New York Times, workers have straight-up had hysterectomies so they don’t miss days of work—and this is just the tip of the iceberg. 😨

The good news is there’s a machine that can save bulls from a lifetime of misery, save time, and boost pay opportunities for workers: It’s eco-tractors for the W. 🏆 Unlike slow bullock carts, a tractor can carry up to 6x the amount in a single load.

Please use the form below to push PepsiCo to go bull-free for all PepsiCo-branded products!
