Torment in Taiwan—Help Protect Dogs, Monkeys, and Other Animals Bought for Use in Experiments

UN LAB Middleware Label: Title Ends

If you hate experiments on animals, you need to hit up Taiwan’s gov TODAY—countless dogs, monkeys, and others will suffer unless we do something!

The Taiwan Ministry of Agriculture has drafted a new regulation that would let animals be tormented if it doesn’t change. 😡

The draft regulation doesn’t cover a ton of animals widely used in cruel and pointless experiments. This means that protections like a ban on abducting animals from the wild and requiring suppliers to have proper licenses and certifications don’t apply to dogs, cats, monkeys, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. 🤦

It would even let experimenters buy animals from countries with few or no animal protection laws. Taiwan could get animals from places where treating, transporting, or killing them in cruel ways may be 100% legal.

PETA has submitted a formal comment to Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture, urging it to cover all animals, make sure foreign suppliers meet Taiwan’s standards, and set up stronger inspections and penalties. But we need your help.

Please add your voice to ours and urge Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture to give its draft regulation a compassionate glow-up! 🚨
