Would you EVER pay to see bulls be stabbed to death? 😧 That’s a hard ‘no’ for our strongly anti-bullfighting generation—yet online ticket marketplace StubHub is still profiting from the resale of tickets to these bloodbaths.

During bullfighting events, bulls are taunted, chased, and stabbed with a lance and harpoon-like weapons. As the bull weakens from blood loss, the matador—literally “killer”—drives a sword or knife into his body.

Once the bull collapses in a pool of his blood, screaming crowds praise the matador, who may cut off the dying bull’s ears or tail as a trophy—sometimes while the smart, sensitive animal is still conscious.

Please urge StubHub North America to end its sale of tickets to bullfights!

I was shocked to learn that StubHub North America profits from the resale of tickets to bullfighting events in countries like Spain. Such events are responsible for the torture and death of thousands of bulls each year.

During these violent spectacles, bulls are stabbed repeatedly with lances and knives until they collapse in a pool of their own blood. The matador may then cut off the dying bull’s ears or tail as trophies—sometimes while the animal is still conscious.

There is a growing consensus that these violent spectacles have no place in today’s tourism. With eight in 10 Spaniards opposing bullfighting and hundreds of municipalities in Spain declaring themselves against it, it’s appalling that StubHub continues to support this cruelty. These activities would be illegal if held in the U.S., and most major U.S. travel companies, including Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com, and Tripadvisor, have already rejected bloodsports like bullfighting. StubHub must do the same.

Please, stop selling tickets to bullfights immediately.
