HELP: Viola the elephant has been trapped in the circus industry for over five decades!
After being kidnapped from her home and family, Viola has spent nearly her entire life performing in circuses under threat of punishment. One of these circuses, Jordan World Circus, works w/ animal exhibitors who use intimidating, often violent methods to force animals to perform dumb tricks.
A PETA investigation found that Viola and another elderly elephant, Isa, showed signs of painful foot and joint problems. Yet Jordan World Circus forces them and other elephants to perform and give rides day in and day out. In 2025 alone, Viola was forced to perform in nearly 200 shows.
Viola has tried to escape the circus at least four times, most recently in 2024 when Jordan World Circus was performing in Montana. She’s desperate to get out. Plz urge the circus’s owners to end the cruel animal acts and focus on human performers instead!
