Monkeys belong in forests, not laboratories. 🌳 If you agree, getting this bill passed is goal #1!

Reps. Greg Steube (R-Fla.-17) and Dina Titus (D-Nev.-01) have introduced a groundbreaking bill—the Preventing Risky Importation of Monkeys to Avoid Toxic Exposures (PRIMATE) Act (HR 8471) —that would ban the import of monkeys going to laboratories or their suppliers.

In 2025, more than 22,000 primates entered the U.S. If this bill is passed, not one more monkey would be abducted, crated, flown, trucked, caged, tormented, and killed in pointless experiments in this country.
Long-tailed macaques, who are on red alert for extinction thanks to these experiments, would be able to thrive in their forest homes. Traffickers and breeders would lose their incentive to harm monkeys, and Big Pharma would be pushed to use human-relevant research methods, which actually lead to treatments. 😮💨 Not bad for one bill.

None of this can happen if the bill doesn’t become law, so the gov needs to hear from you TODAY. Please urge your Congressional representative to co-sponsor this monkey-saving bill!
