Don’t pull up to your next vacation carrying a killed cow! Every leather tag, trim, or bag sold by major brands like Aer SF, Rimowa, Samsonite, Travelpro, and TUMI cost an animal their life. 💔

Investigations by PETA entities into the leather industry have found workers:

bashing cows over the head with sledgehammers
forcing them to march hundreds of miles to their deaths in scorching heat
rubbing chili peppers into their eyes
burning them in the face with hot irons

And leather is also a killer for the environment. Companies use toxic chemicals to preserve hides, and cow leather causes more water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions than vegan leathers. Leather-based luggage is an L for everyone—if you care about cows and the planet, it’s time to make a mooove. 🐮

I am deeply disappointed that your brand uses leather. The leather industry subjects cows and millions of other animals to tremendous cruelty and violent slaughter. PETA entities have released multiple investigative videos from around the world revealing how gentle cows are burned, electroshocked, and beaten, then slaughtered when businesses want to sell their body parts.

This is not only an ethical issue but an environmental one. Cows’ skin has been shown to cause more water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions than most plant based or synthetic vegan leathers.

Meanwhile, innovative and animal-friendly vegan leathers—including those made from apples, mushrooms, cactus, grapes, corn, and soybeans—are used successfully by forward thinking brands.

Please, stop selling leather. Until you do, I will be shopping for luggage elsewhere and encouraging others to do the same.
